EEP - Executive Education Program
Objective:
The overall objective of the proposed Executive Education Programme
is to provide the knowledge and skills needed to enhance the careers
of practicing businessmen and women in the Vapi region. The region appears
to have a large number of executives in the early to middle stages of
the their career and in need of a general management perspective.
Programme Benefits :
A flexible, modular format , conveniently paced to suit the needs of
working executives. Offers an oppotunity to do a postgraduate management
programme at Vapi without interruption of one's contribution to the
firm. A fast track MBA enabling the candidate to complete the entire
programme in 20 months. Course material and course work inspired by
the experience of renowned institutions like IIM, Ahmedabad. Support
of reputed visiting faculty from Bombay and Ahmedabad in addition to
the institute's permanent faculty. Access to the experience of renowned
management thinkers and teachers through a special arrangement with
Media Matrix, India for exclusive presentation and discussion of classic
management films. Interaction with sophisticated academic and business
community through the institute's linkages with industry.

Programme Rationale and design
:
The EEP has been designed to deliver knowledge and skills at
three levels. Each level has a deferent objective, intended to build
on what has been learned previously. Each level is described below :
Level 1 : Business Development:
The objective is to enable the student to view the organization
in its totality in the context of a fast changing business environment,
acquaint with basic management concepts and appreciate the independence
of different functional area. This is the core of the EEP Level 1 is
divided into two modules : Management Concepts and Business Competencies.
Level 2 : Functional Specialisation:
The objective is to provide the operational knowledge and skills to
become an effective specialist in a chosen area of management. At this
level the EEP focuses on knowledge, tools and techniques in a specialist
area of management and aims at delivering practical planning and implementation
skills. Level 2 is covered in one module.
Level 3 : Integration:
The objective is twofold : To enhance the personal effectiveness of
the manager and to enable him to develop strategic perspectives in the
management of change. This is done in two ways : through an Advanced
managerial Effectiveness programme and project on business development.
The EEP therefore consists of 4 modules followed by a Field Application
project.
Duration
Each of the modules is covered in a trimester of 15 weeks. The students
will also participate in three seminars, one each at the end of trimester
1, trimester 2 and trimester 4. A student completing the 5 trimesters
in succession, without a break, will complete the entire programme in
20 months.

Admission Requirements :
To be admitted to the programme, the candidates must have passed a graduate
degree examination of a university or its equivalent. Work experience
of at least two years at an executive level. Organisational sponsorship
is prefered though not essential. Admission will be offered on the basis
of a careful assessment of the application materials and a personal
interview.
